8 Steps We Can Take to Help the Amazon Rainforest and Beyond
Mother Earth is calling and we need to answer by helping to save
the Amazon rainforest from the recent wildfires.

This month, we received devastating news that the Amazon rainforest is on fire and has been for three weeks now. The Amazon is the largest tropical rainforest in the world and home to a diverse number of species, covering plants, mammals, fish, and insects. Can you believe that this vast area of 5.5 million square kilometers generates more than 20% of the world’s oxygen? No wonder it is referred to as the “lungs of the planet” and is essential in our fight against global warming. Therefore, this is a matter of life and death and it is in our hands to save it.
Based on reports, the wildfires were caused by deforestation initiatives to clear the land and prepare it for agriculture and cattle farming. Sadly, records show that this year marks the worst number of fires compared to recent years, hitting about 74,000. Much has been said about who is to blame for this catastrophe, but instead of focusing on the controversies surrounding it, why not focus on what we can do NOW, right? Here are eight ways we can help to save the Amazon Rainforest:
